Rooted in an ingredient-first approach that celebrates simplicity with seasonal-forward menus, Chef Vasiliki brings fresh perspective, international influence and impeccable passion for culinary excellence to the now entirely female-led AperiBar team, further elevating the lively pulse of this Times Square dining destination.
Hailing originally from Athens, Greece, Vasiliki began her journey at the LE MONDE Culinary Institute, where she obtained her degree in Culinary Arts before progressing into a food expert role with television program MasterChef where she oversaw recipe execution. With a career spanning more than 16 years, Vasiliki has worked as Chef de Partie across three one-starred Michelin restaurants – including Oceana in New York and Helen Darroze in Paris – before moving into the role of Sous Chef at Nammos in Mykonos and then Executive Chef at Ousia respectively. She has trained in Monaco on the handling and cooking standards of Kobe and Wagyu Beef, and was awarded Ambassador of Greek Gastronomy in 2020.
